If you’ve ever wanted to see a real buffalo, a visit to Child’s Place Buffalo Ranch in Hanover may be just the ticket. Guests take a wagon ride to see and feed the buffalo and perhaps enjoy a buffalo burger afterwards. General store sells souvenirs, meat and other buffalo related items. Enclosed pavilion that seats 70 people, also a mechanical buffalo for an extra thrill.

For unblemished natural settings, consider visiting the Dahlem Environmental Center and explore forests, fields, marshes and ponds along five miles of hiking trails. In the spring, the Dahlem Center offers guided walks as part of its annual Bluebird Festival. All terrain wheelchairs available.
